After completing her Degree in Chemistry Science, our founder, Elyn Heng observed a growing interest in natural beauty within the skincare industry.

With her foresight and entrepreneurial drive, she established Elyn Recipe in 2013, operating initially from her residence in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Initially, the business primarily focused on selling soap making ingredients, including precious plant oils (carrier oils), plant butters, waxes, essential oils, and soap-making chemicals.

As the demand for natural beauty products continue to grow and becoming more mainstream, we expanded our product range to include skincare and cosmetic ingredients, household cleaning ingredients, botanical extracts, packaging materials, and tools and equipment for soap making and skincare.

We also conduct soap making and skincare workshops, classes and one-to-one consultation. This allows us to continuously engage with our community and partner with NGOs to educate the public on the importance of skincare. 

In September 2020, we relocated our business to a storefront in Kepong to serve our customers better.
