Witch Hazel Water

Witch hazel (Hamamelis virginiana) generally are referred to as “waters” due to the fact that they are typically clear and have a “water white” appearance.

Best Known for shrinking pores, healing anti-irritant, mild therapeutic astringent used to remove and control oils, reduce and relieve inflamed tissues.

It can be used in lotions and gels to act as a venous constrictor to reduce tissue swelling while offering a cooling sensation. For skin types, it is an excellent inclusion in cleansers, gels and moisturizers to act as an astringent and anti- inflammatory that reduces redness. Witch Hazel water is also one of the hydrosols with the lowest pH which makes it a suitable water replacement or base for any toner geared toward skin refinement.
